Bumps

These trials will show that your faith is genuine…’ 1 Peter1:7 NLT

Today’s Word:
It is impossible to tell by looking at a person how much faith they have. Compare your faith to a covered bucket of water; you only discover how much is inside when somebody bumps it. Likewise, when life bumps you, you spill out what you are full of. Maybe you took a financial hit in the last few years: bump! What spilled out, fear or faith? Maybe you, or a loved one, received bad news from the doctor and you’re going for tests: bump! What splashed over the side? Dreading the worst or trusting God for the best?
People can’t tell by looking at you how much faith you have, but they can tell by listening to you. In life, bumps are going to happen. You will be tested. And the purpose of the test is not just to reveal your faith, but to refine it. God doesn’t test your faith in order to know how much you have, He already knows. No, He tests your faith so that you can know – and start strengthening it. Stop and consider the hardest thing that’s going on in your life right now, then ask yourself, ‘Is this situation decreasing my faith or increasing it?’
The Bible says: ‘These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold – though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.’ (1 Peter 1:7 NLT)
Prayer for today:
Father, thank You that despite every bumps & obstacle we can know that You are with us. You never leave nor forsake us. I pray in Jesus name that every one of my friends will experience victory and favor today. Amen

Breaking strongholds

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” (2 Corinthians 10:4, NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD:
My friends, Scripture tells us that there is a battle going on in our minds. Our thoughts dictate our actions. That’s why the enemy will do everything he can to get you thinking in the wrong direction. Sometimes, it’s not our own thoughts that are holding us back; sometimes it’s that we’ve believed the negative things that other people have spoken. Those words are like seeds. If you dwell on them long enough, they’ll take root and become reality.
In life, there will always be people telling you what cannot be done, speaking negative things. Too often we latch on to those negative words and develop what the scripture calls a “stronghold.” That’s a wrong thought or action that keeps us from God’s best. The way you break those negative strongholds is by rejecting the lie, forgiving the person, and embracing the truth of God’s Word. In other words, you have to choose to delete that negative file in your mind.
Today, why don’t you take inventory of your thought life? Ask yourself, “Where did these thoughts come from? Do they line up with what God says about me?” Break the negative strongholds and embrace God’s truth so you can be all that God has called you to be!
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, today I choose to reject negative thoughts. I choose to reject lies from the past. I break every stronghold through the power of Your Word and embrace Your truth which sets me free in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Seek first

SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS,  AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED TO YOU. ( MATTHEW 6:33 *NKJV )

Trying to keep up with those who seem to have it all, may easily cause you to lose focus on what is really important! After all, many people do evil things to gain large sums of money, and even seem to get away with it as well.

As God’s Children we should; TRUST IN THE LORD, AND DO GOOD; DWELL IN THE LAND, AND FEED ON HIS FAITHFULNESS.  DELIGHT YOURSELF ALSO IN THE LORD, AND HE SHALL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART.  ( PSALM 37:3-4 )

Therefore; DO NOT FRET BECAUSE OF EVILDOERS, NOR BE ENVIOUS OF THE WORKERS OF INIQUITY. FOR THEY SHALL SOON BE CUT DOWN LIKE THE GRASS, AND WITHER AS THE GREEN HERB. ( PSALM 37:1-2 ) FOR EVILDOERS SHALL BE CUT OFF; BUT THOSE WHO WAIT ON THE LORD, THEY SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH.( PSALM 37:9 )

So; BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING, BUT IN EVERYTHING BY PRAYERS AND SUPPLICATION, WITH THANKSGIVING, LET YOUR REQUESTS BE MADE KNOWN TO GOD; AND THE
PEACE OF GOD WHICH SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS.   Amen                      ( PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7 )

Take off the limits

I have seen that everything [human] has its limits and end [no matter how extensive, noble, and excellent]; but Your commandment is exceedingly broad and extends without limits [into eternity].

Psalm 119:96, AMP

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, did you know you can limit your life by dwelling on the wrong things? So often, wrong thinking keeps people stuck right where they are. If you think you’ll never accomplish your dreams, then you’ll stay stuck where you are. If you think you don’t have the talent, the connections or the funds, then you are limiting yourself.

We have to remember that God’s promises never return void. His Word stands true forever! Don’t limit what God can do in your life by focusing on what you see in the natural realm. You have to realize that you serve a supernatural God, and just because you don’t see a way doesn’t mean that God doesn’t have a way. God can bring one opportunity across your path that will thrust you to a whole new level. He has explosive blessings in store that can blast you out of where you are and into a place of abundance. If you’ll shift your focus from this limited realm and start looking at God’s supernatural realm, you’ll see His unlimited possibilities for your future.

Today, take the limits off by setting your thoughts on what Almighty God can do in your life!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father in heaven, today I lift my eyes to You. You alone are the source of my strength, peace and provision. I choose to delight myself in You knowing that You will give me the desires of my heart in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Step out of the boat

“And Peter answered Him, ‘Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.’ He said, ‘Come!’ So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus.” Matthew 14:28-29, AMP
TODAY’S WORD:
Friends, have you ever thought about why Peter wanted to get out of the boat? Why did he all of the sudden think he could walk on water? Well, you might say, “It’s because he saw Jesus open the blind eyes and cleanse the lepers.” Yes, that’s true. But, the other disciples in the boat saw the same things. Why didn’t they want to get out?
Peter understood that it was his time. He stirred his faith up. He believed at that moment that he could do what God placed in his heart. Jesus said, “Peter, do you want to get out of that boat?” He said, “Yes, I do.” Jesus replied, “Well, come on out.” Notice that Jesus didn’t say, “Peter, stay in that boat. Don’t you know I’m the Son of God?” No, He said, “Peter, I like your attitude of faith. I like the fact that you believe you can do great things.”
Today, have that same kind of boldness! Start believing that your time is here! All the dreams that you’ve buried, those desires that you thought would never work out, it’s time to start believing again.
Friends It’s your time, and it’s time to step out of the boat!
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
“Dear Father, today I choose to believe Your Word. I believe You are faithful to complete the good work You’ve started in my life. I choose to hear Your voice and step out of the boat. Thank You for bringing to pass the dreams in my heart in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Storms

“The rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” (Matthew 7:25, NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD:
Friends, we all go through difficulties and things we don’t understand. It’s easy to get discouraged and think, “Why am I having these problems?” The scripture says, “Rain falls on the just and the unjust.” No matter how good a person you are; no matter how much you honor God, you are going to have some rain.
Jesus told a parable about a wise man who built his house on the rock. He honored God. Another man built his house on the sand. He didn’t. The winds blew. The rains beat on the houses. The same storm came to both people, the just and the unjust. If the story ended right there, you would think, “It doesn’t make a difference to honor God. The same thing happens to me that happens to everybody else. I built my house on the rock, yet I’m in this storm.” But, that’s not the end of the story. Jesus went on to tell that the man who built his house on the rock, his house was still standing after the storm. The man who built on the sand, his house washed away. Here’s the difference.
When you honor God, the storms may come, but you have a promise that others don’t have. When it’s all said and done, you’ll still be standing!
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for the promise to bring me through every difficulty, hardship and adversity I may face. I receive Your strength; I receive Your victory knowing that my house is built on the Rock in Jesus’ name! Amen!

It is well!

Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds Isaiah 3:10, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, no matter what’s happening in your life, God wants you to know that it is well with you today! Now you may say, it is not well in my finances. I’m struggling. I’m in debt.” That’s okay. It’s not the end. God is still working. Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord your Provider, has breakthroughs coming your way. If all is not well in your health, don’t get discouraged. It’s not the end. God has healing and restoration coming your way. If all is not well in your family or in a relationship, don’t write a child or spouse off. They may be on the wrong course, but it’s not the end. In the end, God promises all will be well.

Remember, our God does not end in defeat. He didn’t say, “Most of the time, I will cause you to triumph.” No, He said, “I will always cause you to triumph.” You may go through difficulties, through unfair situations or through betrayals, but the point is that you are going through. You’re not staying there! It’s not permanent. Defeat is not your normal state. If all is not well in your life that simply means you haven’t made it to your new destination.

Today, stay in faith, keep declaring His Word and keep moving forward because it is well with you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for Your Word which is life and health to my soul. I trust that You are working behind the scenes for my good. I will hide Your Word in my heart, knowing that it will be well with me because You are good and faithful in Jesus’ name. Amen.

A shift is coming!

You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways. Job 22:28, NKJV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, today I declare that a shift is coming. Whatever you need—a shift in your health, a shift in your finances, or a shift in a relationship. It may not look like anything is happening in the natural, but we serve a supernatural God. He’s about to breathe in your direction in a new way! The enemies you have seen in the past, you will see no more. The addictions or bad habits that have held you back are being broken in Jesus’ name. God’s favor is being released in a new way that will propel you forward. What should have taken you 40 years to accomplish, God is going to do in a split second!

The shift is acceleration. The shift means going beyond where you could go on your own. The shift is seeing Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our Provider, do exceedingly, abundantly above and beyond. Now our attitude should be, “God, I’m ready. I’m taking the limits off of You. I’m enlarging my vision. I may not see a way, but I know You have a way. I declare I’m coming into a shift!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, today I open my heart and mind to You. I declare that a supernatural shift is coming my way. I receive Your Word, I receive Your truth, and I receive the increase You have in store for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Your hope!

…those who hope in me will not be disappointed. Isaiah 49:23, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, what a powerful promise we have from Almighty God! When we put our hope in Him, we will never be disappointed. Of course, that doesn’t mean that things will always go our way. There may be temporary disappointments, but we will never be permanently disappointed. Somewhere down the road, God will cause it to all work out for our good. With God on your side, you will always end in victory!

Are you carrying frustration, worry or aggravation about something? That’s usually a clear sign that your hope is in the wrong place. If you hope in circumstances, it will deplete you of joy and peace. But when you turn those circumstances over to God, when you refuse to worry, when you refuse to allow the temporary things of this world to dictate your happiness, that’s when God can do a work in your life. When you trust in Him, He will make your crooked places straight; He will cause you to mount up with wings like the eagle.

Today, choose to put your hope in the Father; you won’t be disappointed. Trust Him because He is faithful. Find rest for your soul in knowing that He is good, and He has good things in store for your future!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, today I give You every frustration, every aggravation, every difficulty. I release total control into Your loving and able hands. Speak to my heart and give me Your peace. Show me Your love as I place my hope in You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
