Don’t give up to soon!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.” (Hebrews 10:35, AMP)

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, we all have goals that we want to accomplish and situations we’re believing will turn around. But so often when it’s taking a long time, the negative thoughts come that say, “It’s never going to change.” “You’re never going to get well.” “You’re never going to get out of debt.” “That child is never going to straighten up.” If we’re not careful, we’ll get discouraged and end up just settling where we are.

Many times, we miss out on God’s best because we gave up too soon. Just another few days of believing, another few weeks of doing the right thing, or another few months of staying in faith, and we would see that promise come to pass.

Hebrews 10:35 tells us that if we will stay in faith, if we will keep believing, keep hoping, keep doing the right thing, God promises there will be a reward. One translation says, “Don’t get discouraged. Payday is coming.”

Challenge for today: “When you’re tempted to get down and things are not going your way, you need to keep telling yourself, “This may be hard. It may be taking a long time, but I know God is a faithful God, and I’m going to keep believing, knowing that my payday is on its way!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for Your grace to stand strong no matter what I am facing. I choose to stay in faith. I choose to keep praying. I choose to keep believing, knowing that victory is on the way for me in Jesus’ name! Amen.

In your midnight hour!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. Acts 16:25-26, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, Paul and Silas were put in jail for spreading good news. It wasn’t fair. They were beaten and accused without a trial. As they sat in the prison, bloodied, bruised and hopeless, it looked like things were over for them. When they had no hope, nowhere to turn, when they were literally trapped and bound in their circumstances, they began to sing praises to God. As they did, right at midnight—their darkest hour—there was suddenly a great earthquake. The prison doors flung open, their chains fell off, and they walked out as free men!

We’ve all had times when we felt completely trapped by circumstances. We’ve all felt lonely and hopeless. Today, I encourage you to do what Paul and Silas did and begin to praise God! When you praise Him no matter what, that’s when God enters your situation. That’s when He can break your chains and set you free. Praise Him in your midnight hour and watch Him show up and set you free.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, right now I lift my heart to You. You are worthy to be praised! I will bless You in the midnight hour knowing that You are good, and You have victory and freedom in store for me in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Be a people builder!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up…” 1 Thessalonians 5:11, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, God designed us to live in relationship with others. He wants us to help each other grow. None of us will reach our highest potential by ourselves. We need people in our lives to encourage us, and we need to encourage the people in our lives and help them reach their potential. The word “encourage” means to “urge forward.” Many times, you can see things in other people that they don’t see themselves. You can see their strengths and talents. You can see that God has a special plan for them even though they may be going through a difficult time. Don’t assume that people see what you see in them.

Challenge for today: “Take a moment and encourage them either with a kind word or a simple note. There might be a special gift you can give that will remind them of their goal or dream. In whatever way you can, urge the people in your life to keep moving forward. If you’ll be a people builder and help others fulfill their dreams, God will help you fulfill your dreams also, and you’ll live in blessing all the days of your life!

Remain blessed, you are unique and special to everyone around you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. Help me build them up and find creative ways to urge them forward to Your glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Walk through!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me…” (Psalm 23:4, NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, do you ever feel like you are walking through the valley of the shadow of death? During the tough times, it’s easy to get discouraged. I love what it says in the verse, “though I walk through…” No matter what you are facing today, know this: you are not alone, and you are just walking through. You don’t have to stop and live in the tough times. They are only temporary. I encourage you today; don’t allow fear to paralyze you in the middle of “the valley of the shadow of death.” Remember, God is with you. He is walking beside you. He is strengthening you. He is making a way of escape for you. He is lining up people and situations to bring you out of that tough place into a place of strength and victory. Don’t give up! Press on and walk through!

Challenge for today: “Begin to get a vision of your life on the other side. See yourself more loving, more faithful, stronger and more blessed than ever before. As you keep moving forward and walking through, you will get to the other side and experience the victory God has in store for you!”

Remain blessed & keep walking forward today!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Thank You for walking with me even in the hard times. I trust that You are taking me through my circumstances to a place of victory and strength in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Declare God’s YES!!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (II Corinthians 1:20, NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD:

My friends, when God laid out the plan for your life, He lined up the right people, the right breaks and the right open doors. In other words, He already had your “yeses” planned out — Yes, you can accomplish your dreams. Yes, you can overcome that obstacle. Yes, your children can fulfill their destiny. Yes, you can succeed. YES, is in your future!

The question is, are you going to say “yes” to God’s “yes”? Are you going to dare to believe Him — to get into agreement with His promises?

Your challenge for today: “Start right now by declaring His promises over your life. Start declaring that He is good and that His plan will come to pass. Don’t let doubt and discouragements distract you, but keep your eyes fixed on Him because He is faithful. His promises are always yes and amen so say “yes” to His “yes”!”

Remain blessed and declare God’s YES over your life!!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, today I say Yes to You. I say “yes” to your promises and “yes” to Your ways. Help me to live a life pleasing to You and bring You glory in all that I say and do. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Renew your thoughts daily

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, so many people today are not really enjoying their lives because of the condition of their minds. They constantly dwell on negative, destructive, harmful thoughts. They don’t realize it, but the root cause of many of their problems is simply the fact that their thought life is out of control.

More than ever, we have to realize that our lives follow our thoughts. If you think negative thoughts, then you’re going to live a negative life. If you think discouraging, hopeless thoughts, or even mediocre thoughts, then your life is going to go down that exact same path. That’s why we have to take captive every thought and renew our minds with the Word of God on a daily basis.

I want to challenge you today to think about what you’re thinking about. Don’t let those self-defeating thoughts linger in your mind. Instead, speak God’s promises over your life. Declare what He says about you. Take captive every thought and renew your mind daily to His great and awesome promises!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, today I choose to take captive every thought. I will renew my mind according to Your Word. Holy Spirit, thank You for being my teacher and helper. I invite You to direct me in the way that I should go. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

When you are in deep waters!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“They saw the works of the Lord, his wonderful deeds in the deep.” Psalm 107:24, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, The Bible says is Psalm 107:23-24, “They that go down to the sea and do business in deep waters, they will see the wonders of God.” Friends, you and I were created to do business in deep waters. In other words, we’re not supposed to have little dreams or little plans. We are supposed to have big dreams. We are supposed to go out into the deep things God has for us.

But understand, when you’re out there in the deep waters, you can’t touch the ground. You can’t see the shoreline, and at times, it can get a little rocky. You may not always see how things are going to work out. But, the scripture tells us that deep calls to deep. In other words, God is the one who has called you to the deep waters. He is with you, and He knows there are deep things on the inside of you. Remember, in deep waters, you are not alone. God is with you, and He’s causing those deep things inside of you to come forth.

Challenge for today: “If you feel like you are out in the deep today, if you feel like you are overwhelmed, remember, you are in the right place and God is with you. You will see His wonderful deeds in the deep, and you will fulfil the plan He has in store for you!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father in heaven, I surrender every area of my life to You. I hunger for every single thing You have in store for me. I choose to trust You out in the deep waters knowing that You have good things in store for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

He meets your needs!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19, NASB

TODAY’S WORD:

My friends, when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you have access to everything He is: peace, provision, protection and more. That means no matter what is happening in the world today, as you obey God’s Word, your needs will be met. No matter what is going on with the economy, gas prices or housing market, God is still your Source; and if your Source is okay, then you are okay, too. Rest assured, there is no lack in heaven!

Not only is God able to meet your needs, He wants to meet your needs. It gives Him great pleasure to bless and prosper you. Expect that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf.

Challenge for today: “Look for His hand of provision in your life and praise Him for His faithfulness. Do whatever He says to do and watch Him open the windows of heaven!”

Remain blessed!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for Your provision in my life. Thank You for loving me and guiding me. I trust that You are meeting every one of my needs today. Help me to follow Your commands that I may honor You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

In all circumstances

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:18, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, are you giving thanks in every circumstance? This might seem like a stretch at first, especially when you are going through a season of difficulty. But notice today’s verse doesn’t say to give thanks “for” everything, it says give thanks “in” everything. In other words, no matter what’s going on, find something to be thankful for. Don’t just focus on what’s wrong in your life; focus on what God will do in your life.

When you are thankful, it opens the door for God to move on your behalf. That’s why it says “this is God’s will for you.” He wants you to be close to Him to receive His strength and power by giving thanks. That’s why we should always have the attitude that says, “God, in spite of what’s happened, I choose to be grateful. I may be sick, but Father, thank You for being my healer. Thank you for giving me great friends and family.” Or, “I may be struggling in my marriage, but God, thank You for being my restorer. Thank You for giving me another sunrise.” As you give thanks in everything, you will see God’s hand move mightily on your behalf, and you’ll come out of that difficulty better, stronger and wiser than before.

Remain blessed and thankful.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father God, today I choose to give You thanks in all things! I know that You are a good God, and You have good plans in store for my future. I bless You and thank You for another day to sing Your praise in Jesus’ name! Amen.

God brings justice

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?…”Luke 18:7, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, have you been crying out to the Lord for something? Maybe there’s a situation in your life that’s been overwhelming, and you feel like you’ve done everything you know to do but can’t see a way through. Be encouraged today because we serve a God of justice! He is faithful to His Word, and He will always be faithful to you.

Not only is He a God of justice, He is your vindicator. One thing we have to remember is that our battle is not with the person who may have wronged us. Scripture says that the enemy of our souls, the accuser of the brethren, is our ultimate enemy. Know today that God already has a plan; He already knows the future, and He will bring about justice! Before eternity is through, He will right the wrongs that have been done to you.

Your part is to release the situation into His capable hands. You don’t have to straighten everybody out or right the wrongs in your life; that’s God’s job. Trust Him with your future because the God of justice is working things out on your behalf!

Enjoy a great day and know God is on your side!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father God, today I release every care, every concern, every situation that is beyond my control. I trust that You are working things out for my good, and You are bringing justice to me. Thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
