Be anxious for nothing

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6, NASB

TODAY’S WORD:

My friends, so many people today are living uptight, worried and anxious about the future, filled with frustration and concern. In the natural there may be good reason, but understand, living that way is not God’s best. God doesn’t want us to be filled with anxiety and frustration; He wants us to live in peace. You can find rest in Him knowing that no matter what is happening around you, God Almighty has His hand on you.

The next time you’re tempted to worry or be anxious about something, remember this verse. God invites us to come to Him. In fact, the Bible says He rewards those who diligently seek Him. But notice, we can’t just come to Him any old way. He wants us to come to Him with a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving. Begin by simply saying, “Father in heaven, thank You for the privilege to come before You. Thank You for hearing my prayers.” As you come to Him with an open and humble heart, He will hear you and fill you with His peace and joy to live free from anxiety all the days of your life!

Challenge for today: “Seek God and make your requests known to Him! Trust Him and know that God will not forsake you!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Heavenly Father, today I choose to be anxious for nothing. I choose to set aside my worries and concerns. I thank You for Your faithfulness to meet every need in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

What do you say?

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust.” Psalm 91:2, AMP

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, your words have tremendous power. No matter what you may be facing today, the words of your mouth can help set the course for your victory or set the course for defeat. You decide by what you say. When you wake up with an attitude of faith and expectancy and declare that God is your refuge, you will be strengthened and empowered by His Spirit. The more you talk like you are blessed, the more you walk like you are blessed, the more you will live like you are blessed.

Your words are like seeds. When you declare favor and blessing, you will reap a harvest of favor and blessing in return. Take inventory of what you are saying on a regular basis. Even when challenges and obstacles arise, you have to rise up and say, “If God is for me, who can be against me?” Every day, clean out your heart by letting go of unforgiveness and bitterness. If you keep the right attitude and speak words of faith and expectancy, you’ll come out better off than you were before. You’ll rise up higher and live the abundant life the Lord has in store for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father in heaven, thank You for Your Word which is like refreshing water to my soul. Help me choose the right things to say so that I can live in victory all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Choose to trust!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust…” Psalm 40:4, ESV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, trusting in the Lord is a decision we make just like we would choose anything else in life. You chose what to wear today, you probably chose what you would have for breakfast, and you can choose to trust God today, too! When you choose to trust God, there is a peace that settles on the inside of your heart. There are blessings in store for you when you trust Him.

No matter what you are facing in life today, have faith that God will come through for you. Trust that His Word is always true. In Psalm 32, David calls God his “hiding place.” In other words, not only can you choose to trust God in the midst of your difficulty, you can actually hide in Him and find rest for your soul.

Your challenge for today: “When the circumstances of life seem overwhelming, choose to trust that God is ordering your steps. Find security in Him knowing that He’s making your crooked places straight and leading you into the everlasting life He has prepared for you!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, today I choose to put my trust in You. I know that You are a good and faithful God, and I trust that You have my best interest at heart. Help me stay focused on Your goodness today in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Know What You’re Not

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.” 1 Corinthians 12: 17-18, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, in the New Testament, John was baptizing a crowd of people and drawing a lot of attention. Somebody came up and said, “John, are you the Christ or should we keep looking?” Without missing a beat, John said, “No, I am not the Messiah.” John knew who he was, but he also knew who he was not. It’s just as important to know who or what you are not because if you don’t realize your limitations, you’ll get drawn into areas that may look impressive and feed your ego, but they are outside of your gifts and callings or outside of what God anointed you to do.

Anytime you go outside of your limitations, it will be a constant struggle. Don’t let that be you! Instead, stay focused on what you’re good at. Follow peace in your heart and know your limitations because God has created you just the way He wants you to be, and He knows exactly what He has in store for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for loving me. Thank You for choosing me. I ask that You help me to know my limitations. Help me to walk in my place in the body of Christ so that I can bring glory and honor to You in Jesus name. Amen.”

Which way you should go.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” Psalm 32:8, ESV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, do you need to know which way to go? Maybe you are facing an important decision in your job, at home or in your relationships. Know this: God Himself will teach you what you should do. He promises to show you the path you should take. He’s watching over you and giving you advice every step of the way.

God’s not just concerned with the goal, or end result. It’s not just about getting you from point “A” to point “B.” He is with you every step of the way during the entire process. He wants to see your character develop and mature. Most times, our growth in life happens when circumstances seem to be the most uncertain. Those uncertain times cause us to rely more on God.

No matter how uncertain things may seem, God still has His eye on you. He’s making sure that you make the right choices. He’s working with you to shape your character and attitude. Remember, He’s promised to never leave you nor forsake you. You may not always know the answer right away, but He’s always teaching you and leading you into blessing all the days of your life!

Remain blessed!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for giving me the direction I need for my life. I receive Your counsel today and trust that You are at work. I surrender all to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Open your mouth

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“The Sovereign LORD has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.” (Isaiah 50:4, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, your words are important. They matter. Even more so, God’s Word matters. When your words become His Words, that’s when you’ll see an explosion of His goodness, favour and abundance in your everyday life! Not only that, there are people God has placed in your life who are waiting for you to speak God’s Word over them. It doesn’t help them if you just feel for them or think about them. God’s called us to speak His Word! Your people needs to hear you say that God’s hand is on them, His purposes are great and His favour is opening new doors and opportunities. Your children need to hear the promises of God from your mouth. Your friends and co-workers need to hear that God has great things in store for them.

Your miracle is in your mouth.” Well, someone else’s miracle might be in your mouth, too! They may need to have your words of faith deposited in them in order to take that next step of victory. Don’t hold back! Keep speaking, keep declaring, keep praying because your words matter! Make your words line up with His Word and see His blessing over every area of your life!

Challenge for today: “Open your mouth and speak life into your situation and future! Declare today that you are successful, you are more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, today I surrender my thoughts and words to You. Show me, by Your Spirit, what to speak over my life and over my friends and family. Thank You for using me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Encourage yourself!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him…But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6, AMP

TODAY’S WORD:

It’s good to have friends and family around to cheer you up when you’re down, but in order to truly live in victory, that encouragement has to come from the inside. When your mind is telling you it’s not worth it, when your circumstances seem difficult, deep down inside, your spirit has to have the resolve that says, “I refuse to settle where I am.” That’s what David had to do. He was facing a major setback. His family was killed, his city was destroyed, and his own people were now against him, but he still managed to encourage himself in the Lord. How did he do that? He replayed in his mind the victories from the past. He recounted God’s faithfulness. As he rehearsed over and over the goodness of God, strength began to rise in his heart.

There are so many places you can see the hand of God at work. Thank Him for saving you today. Thank Him for the miracle of life. Thank Him for His faithfulness. Focus on the fact that God didn’t bring you this far to leave you now. Stir up that inner strength and encouragement. As you do, you’ll rise higher and higher and live the life of victory the Lord prepared for you.

Challenge for today: “Be like David and encourage yourself, believe in who you are! God is WITH you!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father in heaven, thank You for Your faithfulness today. I choose to focus on You and the good things You have prepared for my future. I thank You for making a way out of no way, and I will bless You always in Jesus name. Amen.”

God is taking you to higher level!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“He changes times and seasons…”Daniel 2:21, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, God is always looking to take us to higher levels. He wants us to grow and increase in every area. Change is often a catalyst for growth in our lives; it keeps us from getting stuck in a rut. Sometimes, in order help keep us on our path toward our destiny, God will supernaturally open and close doors of opportunity. He will “stir us” out of comfortable situations and stretch us because He loves us too much to allow us to live in mediocrity.

Do you know how an eaglet learns to fly? That mother eagle will take her eaglet to the very highest point–way out of its comfort zone–and then she just releases it. As the eaglet falls, the mother swoops down and picks it up again. She does this over and over until the eaglet spreads its wings and soars through the air.

That’s what God wants for you today. He wants you to soar in life! You might feel like that eaglet learning to fly but know that God is right there with you! He is bringing you new times and seasons so that you will grow and embrace the very best He has in store for you!

Challenge for today: “Spread your wings and soar today, knowing that God is taking you higher than you could ever imagen!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Dear God, today I open my heart and mind to receive all that You have for me. I trust that You are with me directing my every step. I embrace Your seasons of change and thank You for helping me grow in every area in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

The Lord is with you!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“…O favoured one [endued with grace]! The Lord is with you!” Luke 1:28, AMP

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, you are favoured today, and the Lord is with you! If you are a believer in Jesus today, He is with you, and you are endued with His grace. That means you have God’s supernatural power to do whatever you need to do today. You have God’s power at work, you have God’s power at home, you have God’s power in your relationships—you are empowered to accomplish everything you need to today.

How do you access that power? By faith and through the words of your mouth. The Bible says that if two or more declare a thing, it shall be established. Start declaring what God says about you. You and God are a majority. Receive His grace and favour by thanking and praising Him. Declare that you have favour because God is with you.

Challenge for today: “As you receive His favour and grace and step out to do what He’s called you to do, you will see His hand at work and live in the victory God has in store for you.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for Your grace and favour in my life. Thank You for choosing me and for being faithful. I receive Your promises right now. Give me a revelation of Your ability at work in me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Transforming your thoughts

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“…take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, transforming something in your life whether it’s your attitude, mindset, financial situation or bringing change into a relationship can seem like an overwhelming task. But as the old saying goes, “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” Likewise, the way you change your life is one thought at a time.

Your thoughts set the direction of your life. If you need to change the direction you are headed, you simply need to change your thoughts in that area. When a thought comes to your mind that “you’re never going to get well; this is your lot in life,” don’t dwell on that. Don’t sit around and have a pity party. No, immediately reject it and replace it with God’s Word. Just say, “Father, You said in Isaiah, ’By the stripes of Jesus I am healed.’ You said in Jeremiah, ’You would restore health unto me.’ So Father, I thank You that I’m coming out of this in the name of Jesus.”

Challenge for today: “Be aggressive in taking every single thought and making it obedient to Christ. Stay determined, stay focused and keep declaring His Word because you can change your life, one thought at a time!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for empowering me today to become better, stronger, more alive and blessed. I receive Your Word as truth and choose to change my life one thought at a time. Thank You for leading me and guiding me by Your Spirit in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
