God’s Truth!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Your word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” (Psalm 119:11)

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, did you know that the Word of God has the power to protect you and keep you from doing the things you know you shouldn’t do? Hebrews tells us that the Word of God is living and active; it’s powerful in our lives. God communicates to us through His written Word, the Bible, and He communicates with us through His spoken Word which can come in many ways. In scripture, God spoke to people through a burning bush, a still small voice, and even a donkey. Today, He may speak to your heart through a friend, a worship song, or something in creation. One thing is for sure, when He does speak, your spirit knows it. There is confirmation in your inner man. God always speaks truth, and truth always sets you free!

God’s Word also protects you. When you hold His Word close to your heart, it acts like a shield around your heart. You hold His Word close to you by meditating on it, focusing on it, thinking about it and declaring it.

Challenge for today: “Allow God’s truth to sink into your spirit, it will empower you and change you. It will equip you to live the good life He has prepared for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word which strengthens and protects me. Thank You for speaking truth to my heart. Help me to hear Your voice more clearly that I may live a life pleasing to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Rise up!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you.”  (Romans 8:11, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD:

My friends, when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, the Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit makes His home inside of you. That’s God Himself, the same Spirit with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead! His resurrection power can bring back health, strength and life to your physical body. He can restore hope and breathe life into your dreams. In fact, He can resurrect any area that may seem dormant on the inside of you!

The next time you feel overwhelmed by sickness, challenges or despair, remember, the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you through Christ Jesus. You may have been burdened by an addiction, fear or worry, but there’s nothing that can stand against the power of God.

Challenge for today: “Rise up and declare by faith, “He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. I am restored and healed in the name of Jesus! No weapon formed against me can prosper!”

Receive His truth, declare the Word, and activate His power within you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father in heaven, thank You for filling me with Your power by the Holy Spirit. I choose to feed my faith by declaring Your Word. I choose to walk in Your ways and honor You in everything I do in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Step out of the boat

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water. He said, ‘Come!’ So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus.” Matthew 14:28-29, AMP

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, why do you think Peter wanted to get out of the boat? Why did he all of the sudden think he could walk on water when Jesus called him? Well, you might say, it’s because he saw Jesus open the blind eyes and cleanse the lepers.” Yes, that’s true. But the other disciples in the boat saw the same things. Why didn’t they want to get out? I believe it was because Peter understood that it was his time. He stirred up his faith. He believed at that moment that he could do what God placed in his heart. Jesus said, “Peter, do you want to get out of that boat?” He said, “Yes, I do.” Jesus replied, “Well, come on out.” Notice that Jesus didn’t say, “Peter, stay in that boat. Don’t you know I’m the Son of God?” No. He said, “Peter, I like your attitude of faith. I like the fact that you believe you can do great things.”

I challenge you today to have that same kind of boldness. Start believing that your time is here! All the dreams that you’ve buried, those desires that you thought would never work out, it’s time to start believing again. It’s your time, and it’s time to step out of the boat!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Dear Father, today I choose to believe Your Word. I believe You are faithful to complete the good work You’ve started in my life. I choose to follow Your voice and step out of the boat. Thank You for bringing to pass the dreams in my heart in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

God’s best!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“…you have not passed this way before.” Joshua 3:4, ESV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, God desires to take you to new places in your life. He wants to take you to deeper places in your walk with Him, and He wants to take you into higher places of blessing in your life. Are you ready to go to places that you’ve never been before?

So many people today get stuck in a rut because they don’t want to get out of their comfort zone. They want to stay with what they know because it’s familiar.

But in order for you to reach your full potential, you have to be willing to step out into the unknown. You won’t ever walk on water until you step out of the boat! We all have areas where we can rise higher. Open your heart today and be ready to step out into the unknown.

Challenge for today: “Trust that the Lord will guide and order your every step. Begin to expect that the unexpected is on the way. Be ready to step out into new places.”
Remain blessed and know God wants the BEST for your future!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for bringing me increase in every area of my life. Thank You for taking me to new places. I expect that You are working behind the scenes in my life, and I open my heart to all You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

In God’s eyes

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed…” Psalm 103:13-14, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, it’s interesting to see how a parent views their new baby. It doesn’t matter what that baby looks like; it doesn’t matter if their head is still coned, if their nose is still squashed, if they cry or make a mess, that baby is the apple of its parent’s eyes. They see that child as the most beautiful, perfect creation. They are just as proud and excited as they can be.

Parents see their own children differently than other people do. As believers in Jesus, it’s the same way with our heavenly Father. You are the apple of His eye. No matter what, He sees you as His most perfect creation. He is proud of you. You are the joy of His heart. Sure, you may make some mistakes; you may fall; you may make a mess, but He is right there ready to pick you up, clean you off and calm your soul. In His eyes, you are an overcomer; you are victorious; you are strong. In His eyes, you are pure and whole.
Challenge for today, trust in His love, trust in His goodness, and trust that you can find safety and rest in His eyes.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for loving me and keeping me close to You always. I trust that You have my best interest at heart and that You are working in my life because You are my Father. I open my heart and mind to You to receive Your love in a fresh, new way in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Finding strength today

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, do you need strength for today? The scripture tells us that when we hope in the Lord, that’s exactly what we will get—strength! If you’ve grown weary and tired, overwhelmed by the cares of this world, it’s a clear sign that you need to change what you’re putting your hope in. Are you putting your hope in your job? The government? The economy? Another person? All of these things will change. But when you hope in the Lord, you are investing in the Rock of Ages. He never changes! He is the only solid foundation for your soul.
Challenge for today: “Declare out loud, “God, I place my hope in You. I trust that You are working behind the scenes in my life. I choose to rest in You.” Then, feed your hope and faith by meditating daily on the scriptures. As you renew your mind with the Word of God, you’ll find strength, you’ll find hope, and you’ll find His victory all the days of your life!”
Remain blessed!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for renewing my strength as I put my hope in You. I declare today that I love You and trust You. I know that You are working behind the scenes in my life. Fill me with Your peace and joy as I wait on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Be devoted

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:10, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, what are you devoted to in your life? Being devoted to something is simply being loyal by giving of your time, affection and resources. Many people today are devoted to certain restaurants, television programs and even their cell phones. There’s nothing wrong with any of that, but we have to examine our own hearts and see if we are being devoted to the people God has placed in our lives. Are we honoring others above ourselves? The world’s system says to “look out for number one—yourself,” but God’s system says “look out for others, and I will look out for you.”

Your challenge today: “As you examine your own heart and life, ask the Lord to show you ways that you can honor others. One way is by simply being faithful to your word. Be a person of integrity and honor. As you live your life devoted to one another and honoring others, you are actually honoring God. He will repay you for your kindness and reward you in this life and in eternity!”
Remain blessed today!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, I want to be a person of honor. Teach me to be devoted to others the way You desire. Fill me with Your love and help me to focus on eternity. I bless You and thank You for Your goodness in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Be excited about your life.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage. Ecclesiastes 5:18

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, the Bible talks about how God has given us the power to enjoy what is allotted and appointed to us. That simply means that I don’t have the power to enjoy your life. You may have more success, more money, more friends or a better job, but if you put me in your life, I’m not going to enjoy it. We are uniquely designed to run our own race.

When we truly understand and embrace this, we won’t be tempted to compare or wish we had what someone else has. You won’t think, “If only I had their talent…” No, if God wanted you to have that talent, He would have given it to you. Instead, take what you have and develop it. Make the most of it. Don’t think, “If only I had her looks…” No, God gave you your looks. That’s not an accident. The life you have has been perfectly matched for you.

Your challenge today: “Now, you’ve got to do your part and get excited about your life. Be excited about who you are—your looks, your talent, your ability, your personality. When you’re passionate about who you are, it brings honor to God. That’s when God will breathe in your direction and the seeds of greatness in you will take root and begin to flourish!”
Remain blessed!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, I thank You for giving me the gifts, talents and abilities to enjoy life and accomplish Your will. Today, I choose to put my trust and hope in You knowing that You have equipped me for the destiny You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

All things are possible!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'” Matthew 19:26

TODAY’S WORD:

Friends, are you facing something today that seems impossible? With man it may be, but with God, ALL things are possible! If you seem to be in an impossible situation, get with God! Sometimes it’s so easy to focus on our problems and try to solve them in our own strength. But remember, the battle belongs to the Lord. He has a plan for your victory. He has a plan to give you a way out. He is making the things that seem impossible, possible. You can trust Him today. The Bible says that He has plans for your good, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Today’s Challenge: “Start believing and declaring, “I am with God, and with God, all things are possible!” Are your bills piling up? With God, all things are possible. Do your relationships need healing? With God, all things are possible. Is there sickness in your body? With God, all things are possible!”
Remain blessed, our God is greater than any struggle you face today!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for making a way where there seems to be no way. I choose to trust You and believe that all things are possible! Show me Your power today. Work through me to encourage those around me to trust You more in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
